Who’da thunk it? When you break down the US by county and color-code it by ancestry (as the US Census Bureau has done) you’ll see that a HUGE swatch of the US is predominantly German. Now this doesn’t mean that the largest percentage of Americans are German, just that the largest percentage of *any particular* county are German. I wonder how this might change if it was by CONTINENT instead of COUNTRY. For instance according to this many counties in Texas are have high Mexican populations, but is that 10% or 51% of the population of those counties?
